Willie and Vivian Gaddis a husband and wife team are the founders of Gaddis & Son, Inc. Willie Gaddis gained his work ethic and much of his construction experience early in life as he worked along side his father, also named Willie in the state of Mississippi. They were share croppers (tenant farmers).

At 18 he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Willie located in Columbus, Ohio where he worked many different types of jobs until finding his niche with The Coady Construction Co. There he mingled his life skills with sage advice from veteran cement finishers to form the wealth of experience that would be the launch pad for Gaddis & Son, Inc.

Willie and Vivian stepped out on faith in God on March 25, 1971 with one contract to begin their own enterprise. A few short years later they guided Gaddis & Son, Inc. to their first bonded public works contract with the City of Worthington, Ohio.
